A simple truth, well told: Less is more!
Modern Lifestyle, as it is typical in many countries all over the world, is often symbolised by a strive for bigger cars, cleverer cell phones and perfect appearances – advertising, mass media and even we ourselves suggest that true happiness can only be found in "more". The result is that we invest a fortune in time, nerves, and money only to become frustrated because we cannot keep up with the race or afford. But can we ever achieve happiness through this mode of life? And does "bigger", "faster" or "newer" really automatically mean "better" for us?
This entertaining book, so far published in German, French, Spanish and Korean, shows exactly how we can fulfil the whishes we have – and not the ones smiling down at us from billboards and from trendy magazines. Like a good friend, "Lessness. Less is more – enjoy it" tells us how easily we can improve all central parts of our lifes just by starting to live "less". Suddenly we can relax and engage in the important things and at the same time end up with more money in our pockets.
The uniqueness of this guidebook is that it has nothing to do with boring abandonment or asceticism but more with learning to enjoy life. The book is simply an invitation to take a closer look at our needs, wishes and ideology – and to learn to separate the real needs and wishes from the fake ones.
The author Michael Simperl was born in 1970 and lives in Munich/Germany. Today he works as a Business Coach.
